Our Argument - a film about anger

This is my thesis film from my final year at SVA.

It’s a very personal film completed during a very stressful year of my life. I believe when you argue with someone you care about, no one wins, and this film is about how that feels.

Thank you to everyone that supported the Kickstarter when I most needed help!

With music by Robotaki (soundcloud.com/robotaki), sound by Fred Riding (soundcloud.com/radiofred), and additional animation from Tina Wang (feriowind.deviantart.com/)

It’s Janna’s birthday. If I cant attack flash-mob her with houwara in real life (yet), I’ll do it over the internet.

Happy birthday, janim. Never thought I’d fall in love~ with someone over the internet before you. You’re beautiful and hilarious and honest and kind and a lovely friend (and more). If I didn’t have to be at work in 5 minutes, I would post buck zurna/dhol/baglama/etc. videos all day in commemoration. All of the pachiks for you.

Happy Birthday!!

This song is early Spring, when the slush is gone but the snow’s still melting and it’s warm enough for a light jacket.

Hot damn…  The duduk solo around 1:40?  That dude is not fucking around, ladies and gentlemen!

Okay FOR THE RECORD this should have been called Shit Manhattanites Say.

Other than that, it’s a completely accurate portrait.  My mom lost her shit at the Queens part.  XD

There was a little boy at my show in Portland the other night who asked for a picture with me. I think he was 9 or 10. I asked him his name. It was Cassius.

I said “Were you named after Cassius Clay?”

He said “No, the Greek Cassius. I’m not much of a fighter.”

I said “Oh! That’s not all he was. Not even close.”

Happy birthday to The Greatest.

Speaking of animation!  This is something I made waaaaaay back in high school for our GSA to promote Day of Silence on the morning show/daily announcements thinger.  Good times.  It takes a super simplified approach to DoS because my high school was not the most queer-open place.  :/

I dare you to find a BAMFer theme used in any animated series.
